The short track action at Bristol should be exciting, but that’s assuming it doesn’t get rained out. See how to watch the Food City 500 live.

The Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway was super interesting in its early and middle stages but needed a late restart to add late intrigue. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers are hoping to one-up that race in the Food City 500, but there’s a bit of a catch.

That would be the weather. The forecast for Sunday looks grim, with both thunderstorms and regular showers predicted for the Bristol area. Some hours have a 100 percent chance of rain, so it’s more a matter of when it will rain and not if.

The start time for the race has been moved up to 1 p.m. in hopes of beating expected storms. The race will be televised on FOX with live streaming available on FOX Sports Go. Live scoring and updates are available at NASCAR’s Race Center.

Kyle Busch, who won last week’s race in Texas, earned the pole during Friday’s qualifying with a best speed of 128.822 mph. He will be joined on the front row by his brother, Kurt Busch, who topped out at 128.804 mph on Friday.

Both Kevin Harvick and Kurt Busch, who qualified second, have to go to backup cars after wrecking in different practice sessions and will start in the rear of the field. That could give Kyle Busch, who’s not short on speed or confidence, even more of a chance to get out in front starting from the pole and make everyone have to chase him down.
