NASCAR Richmond 2018 Live Stream. ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series: Richmond Qualifying, Cup Series practice, final practice And Main Race from Richmond Raceway.
Richmond, the site of the Toyota Owners 400, is 0.25 miles longer than Martinsville, but NASCAR still categorizes it as a short track. It’s actually most similar to New Hampshire and Phoenix’s flat track and it’s no surprise drivers who’ve had success at those tracks have been contenders at Richmond.
NASCAR was at Phoenix earlier in the season and Kevin Harvick took the checkers but it was Kyle Busch who led the most laps. Martin Truex, Jr. was on the pole and Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola and Daniel Suarez somewhat surprised with top-eight finishes.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise those drivers are among the stalwarts at Richmond and New Hampshire. Over the past four races at each track, Truex leads all drivers with 904 laps led and Harvick has six top-five finishes in eight races.
The Toyota tandem of Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin can’t be ignored either. Busch leads active Cup drivers in wins (four) and top-five finishes (15) in 25 career starts at the 0.75-mile track. Hamlin is tied for the second-most wins among active Cup drivers at his hometown track of Richmond with three wins and owns the most poles (3) and has the most laps-led there with 1,653.
Our pick to win Saturday night is a 10-1 favorite in Joey Logano. While Busch and Harvick have been the class of the field early in the season, Logano actually owns the third-best average finish (8.67) and driver rating over the past six races.
Logano won at Richmond last spring only to have his win encumbered due to a rear suspension violation but the track has been one of his best. Over the past eight races at Richmond, Logano owns eight top-10 finishes with two wins and five top fives.
